The 4th Annual Evans County Forestry Scholarship Pageant will be held February 24, 2007 at Claxton Middle School in Claxton, GA.  The deadline for application and fees is February 16, 2007.

AGE DIVISIONS

Baby Miss - Ages Birth - 23 Months

Teeny Miss - Ages 2 Years - 3 Years

Tiny Miss - Ages 4 Years - 6  Years

Little Miss - Ages 7 Years - 9 Years

Junior Miss - Ages 10 Years - 12 Years

Teen Miss - Ages 13 Years - 16 Years

Miss - Ages 17 Years - 24 Years

ENTRY FEES

Baby Miss through Junior Miss - $60.00 for Beauty plus one mandatory $25.00 Good Luck Ad

Teen & Miss - $75.00 for Beauty plus one mandatory $25.00 Good Luck Ad

All Optional Catagories for all age divisions are $10.00 each.  Optionals include Photogenic, Most Beautiful, Prettiest Hair, Prettiest Dress, & Prettiest Smile. 

Baby Miss through Junior Miss can enter Beauty and all optionals for $100.00 plus the $25 Good Luck Ad, and one chaperone will be admitted free IF ENTRY FEES ARE PAID BY THE DEADLINE.  That's a $10.00 savings on fees plus one free admission for a total savings of $17.00! 

Teen and Miss contestants can enter Beauty and all optionals for $115.00 plus the $25.00 Good Luck Ad, and one chaperone will be admitted free IF ALL ENTRY FEES ARE PAID BY THE DEADLINE.  That's a $10.00 savings plus one free admission for a total savings of $17.00!

Miss Hospitality Queen

The Miss Hospitality Queen is the contestant that sells the most Ads for the program book.  Ads are $25.00 each and can be sold to your friends, family and/or businesses.  You must sell at least ten (10) ads plus the one mandatory good luck ad to be eligible.  The winner receives the same prizes as all other queens and will ride in the parades and promote Forestry with all the other queens.  All ads have to be turned in by the deadline in order to be in the program book.  You must contact the director at least 2 weeks prior to the pageant if you are planning on doing Hospitality.  If you have any questions or for more information on Hospitality, please contact the Director.

THE WINNER OF MISS HOSPITALTY WILL BE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE AT THE MISS GEORGIA FORESTRY STATE PAGEANT.  (Teeny through Miss divisions only are eligible to compete at the State level).

The contestants in Baby Miss through Junior Miss divisons will be scored 1 - 10 on poise/projection, personality, beauty, gown, and overall appearance.  The contestants in Teen & Miss will be scored 50% on five-minute interview, 25% on a one-minute speech (on your platform) and 25% on evening gown.  Interview will be five minutes and speech will be one minute. 

The Evans County Forestry Scholarship Pageant is open to anyone in the State of Georgia for the Baby Miss, Teeny Miss, Tiny Miss, Little Miss, Junior Miss, & Teen Miss age divisions.

NOTE:  MISS CONTESTANTS MUST RESIDE, WORK, OR ATTEND SCHOOL IN EVANS, TATTNALL, CANDLER, BULLOCH, OR BRYAN COUNY.

Contestants must compete in the age division they are the day of the pageant unless a contestant has a birthday and changes age divisions prior to the state pageant in June, then she moves up.

It is mandatory that the winners in the Teeny Miss through Miss age divisons attend State and represent Evans County at the State Pageant in June.

Prizes

There will be a Queen and 4 runners-up in each age division. The winners will receive a stunning round crown, satin monogrammed banner, beautiful crown pin, lovely bouquet of flowers, nice trophy, surprise director’s gift, Savings Bond/Scholarship (to be paid at the completion of their reign), and Beauty Fees paid to represent Evans County Forestry at the State Pageant in Tifton in June, 2007.  Baby Miss does not compete at the State Pageant but they will represent their title along with all of the other Queens locally. Runners-up will receive a lovely trophy. Contestants not placing will receive a nice participation trophy. Photogenic Winner in each age division will receive a beautiful plaque or nice trophy. Most Beautiful Winner, Prettiest Dress Winner, Prettiest Smile Winner, and Prettiest Hair Winner in each age division will receive a nice trophy or plaque. Teen and Miss Interview Winner and Speech Winner will also receive a nice plaque.

Winners will make appearances at the Claxton Rattlesnake Round-Up, Glennville Sweet Onion Festival, Claxton Christmas Parade, and they will also have a Christmas Party and a Sign Making/Send Off Party before the State Pageant.
